- On the outside, waterproof, scratch-resistant laminate
- On the inside, E1 rated and FSC certified, heavy duty particle board that doesn't cost the earth
- Cable slot on the back edge to feed cables down through
- Comes with either a matching or 'faux' ply edge trim, depending on colour selection
The Frame & Legs
- Powder coated stainless steel frame with an integrated desk drawer
- Integrated desk drawer measures at 50W x 35D x 5H (cm). Perfect for the largest laptops on the market.
- Height to the bottom of integrated drawer is 67.3 cm.
- Powder coated aluminium legs with a cylindrical shape
- Holds up to 200kg of weight
- Levelling feet for exceptional stability on any surface

Delivery and Assembly
How it comes?
The Ergo Lounge comes delivered in a neat little 19kg recycled cardboard carton.
The Everyday Desk comes delivered in three separate recycled cardboard cartons: (1) Legs and Drawer (9kg); (2) Frame Beams (5kg); (3) Table Top (16kg small and 23kg large).

Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide customers have the option to upgrade to our 'Sit Back and Relax' assembly and rubbish removal service at checkout.

I really love this chair, it exceeded my rather high expectations. Super comfy, great back and arm support, and I really love the colour (Earth). I use it daily in my home office. I am ~180cm tall, the height is good, and the ability to occasionally recline is a nice little bonus. I would have liked a tiny bit more height in the gas strut, and the ability to lock the reclined position at different angles, but that's just me being picky. Doesn't affect the comfort for me at all. It's a great chair - pretty much spot on for my needs. Highly recommend.

How does shipping work and who handles delivery?
We’ve partnered with Allied Express to take care of all our deliveries, so your order is in safe hands. Shipping rates can vary depending on the product and your delivery address, and you can view full details in our shipping policy page.
Custom Bundles
Can I create a custom bundle with different products?
Absolutely. If you have a specific combination of products in mind that isn’t part of our pre-set bundles, we’d be more than happy to help. Just reach out to us athello@recess.com.auand we’ll work with you to create a bundle that suits your needs perfectly.
Assembly
Is assembly required? How long does it take?
Yes most of our furniture is delivered flat-packed for safe and efficient shipping and thus assembly is required. But don’t worry, our assembly instructions have been designed to make the assembly process simple and hassle-free. Depending on the product, it usually takes 15 to 45 minutes to set up (even quicker with a power drill!).
Can you provide a copy of the assembly instructions?
Absolutely. Our products include a QR code inside the box that links to an assembly instructions page. Simply just select the product you ordered and away you go. But if you prefer, we’re more than happy to send you a digital copy, just let us know.
Can I request professional assembly or white-glove delivery?
Is the Pope Catholic? Of course we do. If you’re in an eligible area, you’ll see the option to add our “Sit Back & Relax” service at checkout. This includes both delivery and professional assembly, so all you need to do is open the door, and we’ll handle the rest, including rubbish recycling and disposal.

Returns and Refunds
What is your return policy, and what should I know before returning a chair?
We offer a 30-day return policy for change of mind purchases so you can shop with confidence. You can learn more about the details here.
We understand that repacking a chair exactly as it arrived can be a bit tricky, so we recommend taking extra care when unpacking, just in case a return is needed.
In some cases, chairs may need to be returned in separate cartons, as certain parts (like the gas lift) can be difficult to disassemble from the base. If this happens, just let our team know. We’re here to help and guide you through the process.
